Organizational AI Adoption

Organizational AI adoption refers to the end-to-end process by which enterprises, government agencies, and other organizations integrate AI tools, systems, and workflows into their core business processes and achieve sustained value generation. It encompasses not just technical deployment but also organizational culture change, permission design, data governance, and workforce upskilling.

Researchers including Erik Brynjolfsson have identified an “implementation valley” in which AI’s productivity effects take time to materialize — typically 3–5 years from initial deployment to organizational embedding (MIT Sloan Management Review, 2024).
